Your GP has changed the way they issue your prescription as you have been stable on your current medication.
· You will no longer need to order your regular medicines from your GP practice. You will only need to order any ‘when required’ medicines.
· The prescription you have been given lasts for 56 weeks.
· Your pharmacy will hold the prescription and issue you with a supply every 2 months.
· Each time you collect your prescription your pharmacy will tell you when your next supply will be ready for you.
Your pharmacy will explain the service in more detail. If you have any questions about this, or your medicines in general, please ask your pharmacist.
Having this type of prescription does not stop you making an appointment with your GP in the usual way. This service is optional, if you wish to opt out of this please inform your pharmacy
Thank you
